Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the jet's front window, per an announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed following established safety measures and everyone onboard, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," an official representative commented in a public statement.
The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.
This event does not mark the initial instance that a US military aircraft ferrying a senior official has experienced technical problems.
Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to turn back to Washington after experiencing a technical issue.
