The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an review of allegations of questionable actions towards female individuals.
The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
To date, he has released more than 40 books in total, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
